The Kosciuszko National Park is the heart of Australia's Snowy Mountains, it is not only the country's highest National Park, its also one of the largest. Kosciuszko Walk
Walking to Mount Kosciuszko is one of the "must do" activities when visiting the mountains. Walking from either the top of the Thredbo chairlift or from Charlottes pass is a return distance of about 14km and is easily within the capabilities of most reasonably fit people. Be cautious with the weather and take plenty of bad weather clothing in case of sudden weather changes which happen very often and very quickly.
